EASY SMOKY EYE

Smoky eyes are up there with cat eyes on the intimidation list. But if you can draw lines in a checkerboard, you can create a smoky eye! Don’t worry about it being an exact duplicate of what I did above, just make sure you have the right liner formula and prep your lid with foundation first, otherwise, it won’t work. HOW TO MAKE YOUR EYE SHADOW LAST LONGER

This is the easiest way to make your eye shadow last all night. Because if you just use cream shadow, it will most likely travel and end up in your crease. And if you just use powder shadow, it will probably dissipate from your own eyelid oils and fade as the night goes on. But something magical happens when you put the two of them together! Here’s how:

STEPS:

  1. Apply the cream shadow all over lid, crease and lower lash line.
  2. Layer the powder shadow on top of the cream shadow. Make sure to give the brush a quick tap on a counter top to lose any excess powder that could make it go on less evenly.

Brown, green, hazel + blue eyes all look gorgeous framed with a smoky taupe lid! This is because it’s a hybrid shade that is both cool (smoky grey) while being warm (muddy taupe). Who knew something muddy could look so pretty on your face?!  (more…)
