PRETTY PICK ME UP

POST & PHOTOGRAPHY BY AMY NADINE, GRAPHIC DESIGN BY EUNICE CHUN

Spring is well on its way and nothing feels better than a pretty new lip color! We’ve tested dozens of them and these are our top four favorites to transition into Summer!

  • Coral Lipstick — Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick. in Coachella Coral is the most feminine pink-orange hybrid you’ve ever tried on. It’s a classic lipstick formula with a satin finish.
  • Fuchsia — Lime Crime Velvetine Liquid Lipstick in Pink Velvet is a bright, happy stain that won’t budge when you set it. I’ve been using it on a lot of my clients this Spring and they don’t even need to re-apply it throughout the night because it doesn’t even fade in the slightest.
  • Peach — Tom Ford Lip Color Shine in Smitten comes in a traditional lipstick bullet but glides on like a shiny gloss (without being goopy). It’s a bit of a splurge but you’ve never felt anything like it.
  • Rose — Tarte Power Pigment Lip Tint in Blushing Bride is a sister lippie to their famous Lip Surgence Lip Tints but is much more intense (while still feeling light like a balm).

Tag us on our social channels if you try any of them! Or please let us know in the comments below what your favorite Spring lip discoveries are!

Today we’re focusing on how bronzer and blush work together! Think of it this way, the bronzer supports the blush by “holding it up” so it’s not floating on your cheeks like a clown. But first you have to determine where your cheekbones and apples are so you can strategically place each and learn a other few tricks too. Here’s how:  (more…)

QUICK TIP: NUDE LIPSTICK

POST + PHOTOGRAPHY BY AMY NADINE, GRAPHIC DESIGN BY EUNICE CHUN

If you’re doing a pinky nude or a peachy nude lip, you don’t need this. But if you’re doing a true nude lip, please take my advice and try this little trick! A nude lip is a gorgeous look that allows all of the focus to go to the eyes and I encourage everyone to own a nude lipstick and bring it out often. But there’s a fine line that separates pretty and well, how do I say it, dead! So bring your nude lip to life in a way that no one will even know you did anything! Here’s how: (more…)

TRICK OR TREAT… LIGHT!

This is for those of you who either can’t wear a costume to work or don’t feel like it, but still want to do something festive! For the rest of us, don’t forget to revisit  Halloween Beauty Help and Halloween Beauty Help Part Two! Today’s look is simple if you break it down and actually very wearable if you pair it with a nude lip (peachy nude or pinky nude to add a little life) and a light peach cheek. And it lets everyone know you love Halloween, even if you can’t dress up for it! Here’s how: (more…)
