LONDON FASHION WEEK A/W 2012: RUNWAY TO RED CARPET

Ah London, you never disappoint! There’s just something perfectly understated about matte shadows that quietly invokes mystery while letting the fashion have the glory. Makes my soul smile! We saw mattes beautifully smoked out in taupes + browns as well as simple matte color washes in apricots + nudes. So of course I had to translate the look from Holly Fulton’s show on the lovely Emmy Rossum last night for the Global Green Oscar Party!

To make the Holly Fulton Autumn look wearable this Spring, all I had to do was add a pop of pink on the cheek and brighten the lip shade ever so slightly. Here’s what I used so you can too!

ORANGE SHERBET EYE: Chanel Soft Touch Shadow in Tigerlily on the lid + Tarte Femme Natural Shadow in Soft Petal Pink in the crease. Two Coats of Tarte Gifted Mascara.

COTTON CANDY CHEEK: Tarte Cheek Stain in Dollface on the apples + cheekbones.

BUBBLE GUM LIP: I used Tarte LipSurgence in Perky, a limited edition from the holidays (sorry!) but you can re-create it easily with LipSurgence in Lucky topped with our new favorite Maracuja Divine Shine Gloss in Dollface (the flower print on the tube is as delicately pretty as Emmy + her Oliver Tolentino dress!).
