BEAUTY INTERNS IN LOS ANGELES

Hey pretty people! We’re currently on the hunt for a few new beauty interns. We will be introducing lots of new, fun features this year and we’re going to need some helping hands. If you live in or around Los Angeles, are obsessed with doing hair and/or nail art and you want to learn more about beauty blogging, please send your info and a note about yourself to KE@THEBEAUTYDEPARTMENT.COM

Your email should include:

  • First + last name
  • Your current occupation
  • Your general availability
  • Your blog/website if you already have one (not required at all!)
  • Tell us if you’re interested in hair or nail art
  • And tell us what you want to learn! Internships should be highly educational and we want to drop some knowledge confetti on you!

We’re looking forward to hearing from you whether you’re a professional hairstylist, manicurist or even if you’re not a pro but have a natural talent in “the beauty department”. Note: please make sure you live in or are within driving distance of Los Angeles!

LUCKY MAGAZINE FABB CONFERENCE 2012

…and those are just a few of the people we’re looking forward to seeing/hearing this Monday! As many of you know, Lucky Magazine’s FABB blogger conference is fast approaching. We are incredibly excited to be attending + speaking on one of the panels! Our panel (we’re in such great company) will be talking about staying true to your voice in the blogging world. Anyone who has a blog or creates content for a blog knows that this will be an exciting discussion. The conference is taking place at the Annenberg Beach House in Santa Monica which will create the most beautiful California postcard background. We’ll be sticking around for the whole day and can’t wait to hear what all of the speakers have to share. We’re honored to be involved and we hope to see a lot of your pretty faces there!

Can you believe we’re about to celebrate our very first birthday?! In honor of turning the big OH ONE, we really wanted to figure out a way to celebrate with you lovelies since you’ve made TBD feel like such a success. While some of your are close by, some of you are really far away, so here’s how we’ve decided to do it: On April 19th (our birthday) we’re going to select 5 winners at random who will be invited + scheduled in for a DAY OF VIRTUAL BEAUTY SCHOOL with us via Skype! We’re going to put you and + a friend of your choice through hair, makeup + manicure class with us! This will be your chance to learn, ask questions, discuss your hair/makeup/skin issues, and hopefully learn to conquer any beauty battles you might have.
