INDIGO GIRL

POST + PHOTOGRAPHY BY AMY NADINE, GRAPHIC DESIGN BY EUNICE CHUN

Last week we explored four different ways to wear Spring’s biggest Cobalt blue trend. For those of you that don’t feel up to wearing something so bright, we have a darker and slightly more wearable version for you today! But it still has major wow factor and brings all of the attention to your eyes. I can’t beg you enough to try it. When I describe it to my clients and friends, most are like eh. But when they let me try it on them, they die! I’m not sure why navy blue seems so scary or  not of interest but it’s such an amazing color on the eyes! On brown eyes the most, but on blue, hazel and green too. You just gotta try it for me. Then tag us on Instagram so I can see it! Here’s how:  (more…)

RAVE MAKEUP INSPIRATION

POST + PHOTOGRAPHY BY AMY NADINE, GRAPHIC DESIGN BY EUNICE CHUN

Raves are getting more and more popular and are the perfect time to go neon! You let go of inhibitions when you go underground, so why not do the same with your makeup? Typically, pastel pink shadow borders on sickly, but paired with a neon pink liner and anchored with a black wing and it’s not only wearable but quite pretty!! Here’s how:

TOOLS:

STEPS:

  1. Apply the pastel pink shadow all over the lid and crease with a shadow brush.
  2. Line the upper lid with the neon pink pencil and wing it out and up. Go a little thick with this one so there’s room for the black liner.
  3. Trace the lashline with the black liquid liner and wing it out and up, following the neon pink line.
  4. Finish with a couple coats of mascara.

Pair it with a fuchsia lip. And remember, this look is created specifically for raves and clubbing… not intended for every day!

Super excited because today I’m starting a new makeup series of all the different ways to bump up your day makeup for nighttime! So let’s kick it off with the cat eye! Of course, you’re more than welcome to not change a thing about your cat eye when you leave work or school and meet friends or a date out on the town (in that case, you just go back over it with the liquid liner in case it’s faded a little). Or you can thicken it up a little and change the wing shape for extra drama. Here’s how:  (more…)

PARTY MAKEUP INSPIRATION

Looking for something fun and different to try this weekend? Why not add a little highlight to your cat eye by calling upon its twin counterpart! You might remember when I did this look on Lauren Conrad back on the red carpet back in 2011 from our Double Liner Storyanyway, it’s much more wearable than you might think and it shows you’re confidently willing to take chances!
