If you’re looking for an easy fall transition makeup look, try this! It has the drama of Fall fashion but is still light and fresh. It concentrates a metallic copper shade on the lashline that smokes up into a matte sienna shade, making your eyes really sultry without trying too hard. Here’s how:

TOOLS:

STEPS:

  1. Trace the brown copper pencil along the upper lash line.
  2. Take the same pencil and fill in a circle on the back of your hand.
  3. Swirl the small laydown brush in the circle to load it up with product.
  4. Then smudge the brush over the upper lashline and smoke it upward.
  5. Use the pencil to tightline the upper waterline.
  6. And rim the lower inner waterline as well.
  7. Add the matte brown shadow on the lid, just above the liner.
  8. Add the matte sienna shadow in the crease.
  9. Switch back to the small laydown brush and add the matte brown shadow to the bottom lashline.
  10. Finish with a couple coats of mascara.

EASY SMOKY EYE

Smoky eyes are up there with cat eyes on the intimidation list. But if you can draw lines in a checkerboard, you can create a smoky eye! Don’t worry about it being an exact duplicate of what I did above, just make sure you have the right liner formula and prep your lid with foundation first, otherwise, it won’t work. Each time you get dressed up to go out, you have many  different eye makeup options… it really just depends on your mood and outfit! You can draw a cat eye, you can leave them bare to keep the focus on a bold lip, you can rim the inner waterline, you can do a classic smoky eye, or… you can do a Sparkle Smudge! It’s dramatic and ultra-feminine and very compliment-heavy. So add this option to your repertoire and I trust you’ll bring it out on the perfect occasion! Here’s how: (more…)

PRETTY PARTY EYE

With Homecoming just around the corner, here’s a gorgeous makeup look to get you inspired! And for those of us who’ve already graduated, try this look on your next night out! It’s very feminine and looks especially gorgeous with green and hazel eyes because purple is the complimentary color of green (revisit my Green Eye Shadow Focus Guide and Hazel Eye Shadow Focus Guide) and looks stunning on brown eyes as it brings out any green or yellow flecks in the brown (revisit my Brown Eye Shadow Focus Guide for more ideas). Those of us with blue eyes can definitely rock it too (I have!) but it won’t pop as much (revisit my Blue Eye Shadow Focus Guide for other inspiration). Then pair it with a peach cheek & lip and an LBD like I did on Brook Power above! Here’s how: (more…)
