EASY SMOKY EYE

Smoky eyes are up there with cat eyes on the intimidation list. But if you can draw lines in a checkerboard, you can create a smoky eye! Don’t worry about it being an exact duplicate of what I did above, just make sure you have the right liner formula and prep your lid with foundation first, otherwise, it won’t work. Each time you get dressed up to go out, you have many ¬†different eye makeup options… it really just depends on your mood and outfit! You can draw a cat eye, you can leave them bare to keep the focus on a bold lip, you can rim the inner waterline, you can do a classic smoky eye, or… you can do a Sparkle Smudge! With Homecoming just around the corner, here’s a gorgeous makeup look to get you inspired! And for those of us who’ve already graduated, try this look on your next night out! It’s very feminine and looks especially gorgeous with green and hazel eyes because purple is the complimentary color of green (revisit my Green Eye Shadow Focus Guide and Hazel Eye Shadow Focus Guide) and looks stunning on brown eyes as it brings out any green or yellow flecks in the brown (revisit my Brown Eye Shadow Focus Guide for more ideas). The orange lip trend is everywhere this Fall but can be a little intimidating. How do I wear it? What eye makeup do I wear it with? Blush or bronzer? Of course with makeup there are no rules and however you want to express yourself, I stand behind you! But this is how I’d do it. And maybe you’re thinking you have no interest in this trend, but I’m nonchalantly asking you (with no hard feelings either way)… what do you have to lose?
