MISMATCHED EYES: OUI OU NON?

From afar it looks like a fun use of Spring color! Look a bit longer and you’ll notice she’s wearing two different colors on her eyelids. And somehow she pulls it off! Very interesting… We’re on the fence about this daring look. If you keep it in the same family, like a teal and an aquamarine, it’s doable, but what’s the message? That you love breaking the rules and march to the beat of your own drum? I can respect and admire that. Anything is better than vanilla or cookie cutter I guess… but would my clients think I’ve lost my mind if I suggested it for the red carpet?! Most of them! What do you all think?

FASHION FRIDAY

This Spring brings with it amazing neon dresses, jeans + tops which begs the question, how on earth do we wear our makeup with them?! Such bright colors tell the world that we’re feeling confident and aren’t afraid to turn heads… but with that attention let’s put a little thought into our makeup so we stand out in the best way possible! I know we’d never think to take the holidays THIS literally, but after seeing Dior’s Spring + Jill Sander’s Fall 2011 Ready-to-Wear shows (above), I have to say, it’s a really festive + pretty look for rocking around the Xmas tree! You can mix it up however you like:

NAILED IT!

Fall is officially here! So I thought it would be fun to share my five favorite nail polish shades for this upcoming season.  So here they are (in no particular order)…

Dark Red – You can’t go wrong with a classic red nail.  Try going for a darker hue this Fall.

Nude – For Spring and Summer I wore nudes with a pink base, but for Fall I am opting for nudes with a grey hue.

Metallics – Silver, rose gold, glitter… I love them all! Metallic polishes are a fun way to dress up any manicure.

Army Green – Be all you can be… With a military-inspired manicure.

Mauve – I couldn’t be more in love with this color.  So romanic, but still modern.
