Now that we’ve covered brushes for the whole face (foundation, powder + concealer) we can move on to eye brushes. There are so many of them out there that even I get overwhelmed a little at the make-up specialty store. This lovely look is an homage to Raquel Welch from the 1960′s and is actually easier than it seems if you just break it down. Your friends will be so impressed! Here’s all you need to do:

You’ll need a flesh-toned shadow, a brown or grey kohl pencil for the crease, a Q-tip, a black kohl pencil for the lash line, an angled liner brush, a black liquid liner, a black eyeshadow, a white longwear pencil, concealer, concealer brush, pressed face powder, mascara, Winks faux lashes and eco-friendly lash glue. This might not be for everyone but I know it made a lot of you light up inside! There are so many different variations of this too. You can make every other color rotate between metallic and matte finishes, you can repeat colors, you can do only two or three colors instead of all six… just let this be an inspiration to have some fun with your lids every now and then. This is one of the oldest tricks in the book and how makeup artists made gel liners back in Old Hollywood. It really fills in the holes in between your lashes and gives you an intense smudge like a kajal liner or grease paint. It’s super simple and easy, but if you’re a minor please get adult supervision.
