We continue our Blush & Bronzing Series with today’s lesson in powder blush. This option:

  1. works well with all skin types,
  2. is the best option for those of us with oily skin,
  3. opens up the world of shimmer if you want an extra glow,
  4. lasts longer than the various blush types,
  5. and layers beautifully on top of mineral powder foundation.

LITTLE PICK ME UP

For those of you who either don’t feel comfortable wearing makeup every day or don’t always have the time, this little trick might be for you! Why? Because the complementary color to purple is yellow, so the lilac corrects any sallow yellowness and instantly brightens and wakes up the eyes. It also pairs perfectly with a bold lip, when you don’t want the eye to compete but still want to perk it up a little. THE HIGHLIGHTER

There are many ways to use luminizing lotions, but this is my favorite. It draws all the attention the eyes using a simple optical trick that you probably learned back in art class: if you want to pull something forward, make it lighter and if you want to push something back, make it darker. So many of you wrote in asking what the lip color was that was used in my High Brow Tutorial last week that I had to share! I’m sure a lot of you already know about Intuitive Lip Balms, but for those of you who haven’t discovered them yet, you’re in for a beautiful surprise! They go on and feel like a clear lip balm but respond intuitively to your pH level and become anywhere from a sheer light pink to a gorgeous bright pink. Yes!
