Remember our post on identifying your eye shape (revisit it here)? Today’s focus is on those of us with down-turned eyes, which means our eyes turn downward slightly at the outer corners, as opposed to upward or straight (I know, very self-explanatory!). A lot of us are a little weary of matte products, believing that an all-matte face will make you look lifeless… but I’m here to say you should reconsider every now and then! There’s something ultra modern + chic about a matte eye paired with a matte cheek and a matte lip. I had the pleasure of doing the lovely Anna Paquin’s makeup for this Emmy Magazine story {HBO’s True Blood returns on Sunday; set your dvr’s!} and there isn’t an ounce of shimmer used on her.
