ICE QUEEN

With the holidays around the corner and pretty white angora sweaters to cozy up in, what could be more dazzling than this frosty winter look? Hmm… not much! I like it not only because it’s very pretty and feminine, but also because it’s different and interesting, easily setting you apart from your friends. Here are the tools + tips to pull it off:

TOOLS

Frosty white/platinum loose eye shadow (I love NYX Chrome Powder in Platinum) or pressed eye shadow (NARS Single Shadow in Night Life is perfect, shown above in the Phillip Lim 3.1 runway show)

Eye Glitter (optional, but I love Too Faced Glitter Pigment in Blue Angel)

Eye shadow brush (Sephora All Over Shadow Brush works great)

Wet your brush with water and dip it into the shadow, making a paste as demonstrated in our Wet Shadow video tutorial. Next you have three options as demonstrated above:

Chilly: Sweep it across only the crease.

Burrr: Sweep it across only the lid.

Freeeezing: Sweep it over the lid, crease, inner corner + bottom lash line!

Then if you really want to sparkle, add a dab of Eye Glitter with your finger following along wherever you placed the shadow.

Keep the rest of your face minimal by only adding mascara, foundation/powder, a light nude blush and a nude lip for an extra frosty look. Or if you’re headed to a party, it does look gorgeous paired with a red or hot pink lip… and stay warm out there!
